Any kneading of blended kava?

I alway do traditional prep but thought I'd give the blender method a go. Question, once blended do you just put it in the strainer bag and squeeze the liquid out once? twice? and what about a second wash, any kneading at all? Maybe it's just old habits die hard but it feels like i'd be leaving a load of kavatones in the bag if I just strained it once as most description suggest.

I'd say your inclination is correct: you should knead that bag. When I blend kava, the point is to further break it down. I end up kneading it for at least a few minutes after putting it in the bag.

I'm sure you could get away with just squeezing the bag once, but you'd lose a lot of economy.

I personally knead it for a couple of minutes after blending. Especially if it's a second wash. Seems like the right thing to do lol.
