Hey kava lovers, a vendor who joined us JUST when we began (Noble Kava) asked me to post an offering. Sounds like a pretty nice opportunity for someone with the knowledge and experience necessary.

They say find a job that you will love, and you will not work a day in your life…

So, how about a job in the kava business?

Noble Kava, one of the oldest and most established kava bar businesses in the US (since 2009!) is looking to hire a manager for our Boone, NC location. We honestly believe we are one of, if not the very best in the business in the industry to work for, particularly at the management level! This is evidenced by our long-term retention rates, as well as our many generous benefits, which include:

  • Salary commensurate with candidate knowledge and proficiency. (Experience helps, but is secondary to demonstrated ability!)
  • Mileage-based relocation stipend for an out-of-town hire.
  • ACA Insurance plan matching funds and reimbursements.
  • Employee-ownership and profit-sharing opportunities
  • Partial reimbursement for trips taken with the company to the South Pacific

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and direction and further development to a team of employees
  • Manage and oversee all operational and financial aspects of the business
  • Recruit, educate and train any necessary new hires
  • Maintain an impeccable level of quality and service to customers
  • Implement strategies to further growth of the business and expand product distribution

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience and comfort working directly with customers and managing employees in a retail/customer-service oriented environment
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and guidance skills
  • Familiarity with financial and budgetary business matters, including payroll management, product ordering, inventory control, margin/revenue calculations and fixed-cost control
  • Implementation of effective advertising and social media campaigns to drive growth in new areas
  • A desire to, and comfort with engaging with customers in both business-to-business marketing and retail sales environments
  • Educational completion beyond HS is strongly desired, though not an absolute requirement
  • A general knowledge of, and love for, kava and all things ethno-botanically related

Candidates should mail a cover-letter and resume/CV, and any additional information they feel is relevant to: [email protected] AND [email protected].
