BULA! Tonight's grog recipe, "mongrel grog"

Kava Enthusiast
There may have been Nambawan, I tasted something from Vanatu. First step was to pull the frozen Kava and thaw in fridge. I cleaned my strainer with soap, hot water, heated the Kava to 165*F or 72C to make clean from freezing/storage. I save my used Kava and here is why you should too!

After the Kava was steaming hot, I strained it and dumped the brown water. I heated up fresh water, around 1.5 liters to compensate for 1LB [wet] Kava. This feels like 1/2 cup or 3/4 cup in my strainer, I'm suggesting if dried out it would be 4oz Kava, already brewed quite well at another time.

I kneaded the Kava for 10 minutes. Or 12. That's the last step! I'm enjoying 3 cups of delicious tea. The color looks nice, I'll add photos later when I may.

I wish you all to try this at home. Thank you for listening, now I'll go squeeze 4Tbsp fresh dry root in 1L hot water since I'm anticipating some Borogu tomorrow and this is the last of the Fiji'an Waka. Celebration of life.
