Cheapest Kava Ever

I thought I was doing quite well once when I bought 1kg of Tongan Kava for US$30 on an NZ auction site.

This beats it.

OK, it is an auction. Final price will be above NZ$5, but still! If there were little interest, you could grab yourself 1kg of kava for essentially nothing.
Not sure about quality though, or how long it's been sitting in that container.........

Kava should be in the ground that long, just not left on the shelf! Hell, i can't keep a kilo of kava around for 5 weeks...

I agree, sitting on the shelf most likely would degrade all the yumminess

In the end it was offered for NZ$10. This is about USD8, I think. For 1kg. Definitely making it the cheapest kava I've found outside of the tropical SW Pacific!
I didn't buy it though! That 5 yr storage sounds horrible, and maybe dangerous.
