I Love Kava Friday Friday!

It snowed and now my pond is covered in ice and snow. Wah. Bu it's sunny so I opened all the windows and cranked up the tunes. Made a monster bash of mongrel grog. I saved almost two cups of 1st and 2nd wash AluBall makas and put it all in my biggest bag. So far I've done three washes with 8, 3, 1 cups and there's still more in there. Pretty cosmic effects.
I’m assuming no more rowing on the pond? Lol you’d have to be pretty persistent

Bored and stale boys, in a new city and it sucks. I want to drink booze, low on kava, and waiting for a kava sale. Sigh. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Naw, it's 24F, went down to 16F last night. These are record lows. It should thaw and I might get another month of rowing still. Maybe. If if ice is thin I can easily break enough to clear a channel.

I'm interested in things
I've seen these guys live...

That's a great name for a crayfish.

I had to go look up they lyrics, and it's just a lovely little song about...um... corporal punishment, karma, and the cycle of life... I guess.

"Ivan the Crayfish

(INTRO)

Ivan the Crayfish’s
crawling along the bank
Catches a fish
and brings it to little Ul'yan
Little Ul'yan
wolfs down the peppered fish
The landlord sits in the barnyard
and screams "I'll whip you!"

They work their fingers to the bone
With a wooden plough and harrow
Mother sold the latter
Didn’t ask much for it
A hoe, a shovel
And a hen
And a hen
It sits on its roost

(INTERLUDE)

A hen
It sits on its roost
It sits on its roost
Counting its eggs
One, two, three, four
They taught me how to count
But not to read or write
I had to play with dolls

I broke one of my dolls
Mummy gave me a spanking
Dad, dad hit me on the back
Balalaika on the wall
Down the balalaika fell
And hit the pig on its hump
And then dad on his back
So he won’t be riding a pig anymore"

They're a very interesting band, and there's a pretty interesting music scene in St Petersburg and somewhat incestuous with bands sharing members. This is a whole show at a club by a related band, Reelroad. I just love this show and can watch it over and over.....

I'm going to need a spoonful of Damu in some almond milk to process that! ::tpbricky::

Heh. It was such a great country they had to build an iron curtain to make sure people stayed to appreciate it. For the good of their fellow comrades, of course.
