I don't often like to drink straight kava, as it's just plain hard for me to handle the taste. I tried to use Kalm, but I found that after drinking 1-2 bottles, it just knocked me out without any other symptoms -- not really what I want to use kava for. However, last night I made a few shells of BKH Koniak and spiked each shell with a half ounce of kalm concentrate. It barely had a kava taste, and didn't have the nasty aftertaste, either!
From now on, I'll always have some concentrate on hand to mask the taste of straight kava. It would probably help newbies out, too.
