iTaukei men concerned about women drinking too much kava

Village men getting annoyed that women are drinking too much kava and so having trouble waking up early to make them sandwiches.

As opposed to men staying up all night drinking kava and being late for work?

I think this may be a cultural thing. In the past women were discouraged or forbidden from drinking kava. Instead of blaming people for their gender why not use kava responsibly and get a good nights sleep.

Kava at night definitely makes it marginally harder for me to get up the next morning. Just like over here, those Fijians gotta drink responsibly.

I don't know about them, but I can't do anything into the wee hours because I have to get up early for work. But I can imagine the women getting together and losing track of time as they talk about this or that. I'll bet you it's the social aspect and not the kava that they crave.
