@Kapmcrunk all good here, thank you. Ended up not being as bad as I had expected, in my area at least. Might take a day or two for electricity to be restored, but that's a mild inconvenience. Hopefully the people on Kadavu (who are closer to the eye and who mostly have weaker houses) do OK.

Yes...very good to read that you are OK.
We have a back up propane generator that runs our house because we get LOTS of power outages.
Often storms are the cause.
