Filmed in British Samoa in 1926 by Robert J. Flaherty, this was originally a silent movie. In 1976 Flaherty's daughter Monica returned to the same island and recorded sounds to match the scenes. Kava ceremony begins at 1:26:43, but whole film is excellent!

Just finished watching it. Wow! What a beautiful way of life they have! All of it was fascinating to watch, but I think my favorite part was how they made the fabric for their clothing from the mulberry stalks. That was just genius! So cool. Thanks so much for sharing this. :)
