Tipping and pinching

Hi all, anyone know of a good explanation of how to do this for kava plants? I know the hawaiian awa guide has a bit on it but anyone know of some diagrams or videos showing how and where, when to tip and pinch?

Just walked outside and took these 2 shots-- the felcos are at the exact spot to tip.
This forces stalks, nodes to shoot an apical meristem, ideal for propagating:
"Apical Meristem Definition The apical meristem is the growth region in plants found within the ...tips of the new shoots... ".
This time of year in Hawai'i it takes maybe 2-3 weeks.
