    Kava and caffeine

I have only relatively recently (a few years) started drinking coffee and I find that I can have a good kava session in the evening and then the following day have a morning coffee without too many problems, maybe sometimes a little bit more stimulated than usual but nothing worse than that. I...

    New to Kava

Bear in mind it is actually illegal to import kava into the UK for your own use. I keep a small stock of kava for my cats and sometimes have enough to sell some on but it would need to be for a pet and not yourself. If this is something you think might be of use to me you can email me at...

    The parties over

You need to take the decision that's right for you but just a though about the lethargy... have you been supplmenting with b vitamins? They are water soluble and get flushed out due to your increased water intake alongside a diuretic.

Differences of traditional grind and instant (effect wise)

As I say most true instants should have very little sediment at all although they can sometimes be a bit gritty. A lot depends on the size of your strainer bag. If you strain a micronsied kava through a 75 micron strainer you will be left with a fine sludge and that should help reduce the...

Differences of traditional grind and instant (effect wise)

I suppose in a way you can't blame vendors for selling micro as "instant" because it is just "add, stir, chug" but the difference is like night and day and it does tend to cause confusion.

Differences of traditional grind and instant (effect wise)

I think maybe though there is some confusion between instant and micronised kava. I am talking about true instant kava and not micro. Micronised kava tends to be very harsh on the stomach just due to the high amount of larger particles in the mix. A true instant kava is generally very smooth and...

Differences of traditional grind and instant (effect wise)

I've always really liked instant, not just because it is so easy to use but just because of the difference in effects. I find instants are a lot easier on the stomach, cause less dermo even with regular use and there is usually enough variety available to be able to suit how you want to feel...

I've not heard of that before, usually instant is very well tolerated.

    Kava FAQ's from customers

Question... Kava hasn't been hitting me the same the past week or so for some reason, I don't seem to be getting as much out of it. Is it possible to get weak batches? I've been unwell so maybe that's why. Also I've been put on some new medication which could be interfering with it. It's...

Vendors who ship to the UK

That's the way it goes, everyone is lucky until they aren't! :)

Vendors who ship to the UK

I've been buying kava since 2015, first for personal use and then to sell on for pet owners and I've had over £5000 worth of kava seized in that time. They really do care.

Kava Fact of the Day Kava, Caffeine, and CYP1A2

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but maybe try a heavier kava? I have been drinking kava and coffee on the same days recently, usually with a good 8 or more hours between finishing one and starting the other, and I only notice a slight interaction between the two. Coffee the mornings...

    Heritage Kava (Amazon)

Just be careful how they send it because there is a strong chance of it being seized by customs!

And another airplane Thread.... travel with kava

I had sealed bags labelled as kava on the way out and I did bring them back opened but with just a bit in. The plan was that if questioned I would just act dumb (act dull as they say in Wales).

And another airplane Thread.... travel with kava

In the big case if you are taking one. It's very unlikely to be checked that closely going out. It may be checked on the way back though.

And another airplane Thread.... travel with kava

I've taken kava from the UK to Gran Canaria many times and never had a problem.
