I have not yet tried Kava.

Should look into reading "Kava: The Pacific Elixir" - Excellent guide to history, chemistry, cultivation, all things kava. Sounds like what you're looking for. edit: i was beaten to it. cheers ::shell::

KAVA PRESS ALERT ‘Deadly’ Kava Kava plants .....(More negativity)..

"Officers have since discovered and destroyed 54 kilograms of Kava Kava" I feel a great disturbance in the force... as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced

    Set and Setting

Glad you like it! It's seriously such a ride with some of the most interesting character development I've ever seen on a TV show. Just wait, things get crazy haha Especially that scene where Locke was mashing some roots up in a coconut shell, I thought he was about to get Boone krunked for sure

    What grind do you prefer?

As a long term drinker I do prefer micronized kava, I feel like I get more out of it and I prefer toss and wash, and soupy kava over more watery strained kava. More potency for less has been my motto lately.

    Come on guys...

It's kind of always been slow, since the old forums. Actually, this place is much more lively than the old forums ever were. Still, I guess those of us who spent time there back in the day just kind of got used to it lol. We have a small community of kava drinkers and I've always liked it that...

    Does kava upregulate gaba receptors?

I know exactly what you mean, but I'm just watching out for ya. Never before have I reacted to a substance quite like I have with Phenibut. It's a godsend, too good to be true for those of us with anxiety. But even with going 3 - 4 day wash outs between use I would begin to feel the onset of...

    Does kava upregulate gaba receptors?

I've been using phenibut on and off for about a year now, fairly high doses. My only advice here? Flush that sh!t down the drain. It seems too good to be true because it really is. Kava might have gaba activity, as it really helped me get through the withdrawals of phenibut back when I was...

    Stay safe US kava-heads!

Thanks Chris! There was a guy on the old forums some time ago who took to growing some Mo'i I believe, in Florida. Seemed to be going well but he stopped posting, I wish he hadn't, I'd love to see his plant (or plants!) now. Will definitely check out your website! edit: and I know what you...

    Stay safe US kava-heads!

Ah, too cold to snow I see.. Bleh, when the temps get into the negatives that's when I wish I had enough money saved up to take a trip to Vanuatu, or Hawaii :D and stay there until the sun warmed my home back up hehe. I'm actually contemplating buying a few of those fake palm trees and sunrise...

    Stay safe US kava-heads!

It's *bleed* cold out! Snowing during the day on the Pacific Northwest here and then totally freezing to a solid thick sheet of ice during the night. Not nearly as bad as the midwest though. Stay safe! Drink lots of kava in your warm indoors and imagine palm trees and sunsets! Bula! :D

    Waka chemotype?

Paradise kava's fresh was an amazing taste as I remember, maybe it's just a taste only us kava drinkers can truly enjoy. Much more earthy, much more rootey, a much more "Fresh" "juicy" flavor, compared to dried root. Man just describing it makes me crave some fresh frozen root. Can't wait for...

    It's Time for Seasons Greeting.

Hope you all had a great christmas! I spent it eating way too much hehe, and I got my uncle to try some kava. His face when he tasted it, priceless! He's a whiskey fan, and I suppose I should have told him kava is not revered for its hints of oak.

    Kava Tasting Notes

Bleh, rubber glove. Good way of putting it, nearly all instant kavas that I've tried with the exception of shaman from n@h has had this rubber glove taste. Puts me off of them really.

Kava when you have a fever?

Once when I had a soar throat, I stuck some root powder (rooty root powder, chief's jungle) under my lip and just let it soak. Totally numbed my mouth, throat, and lips to the point of what lidocaine can do. hehe. Not suggesting you try this with the flu, but it's an alternative to actually...

    Preparing Kava in Advance?

I'm going to give the glass bottles a try either tonight or tomorrow night, maybe mix in some coconut water to see if it helps. Thanks for the info, hopefully I'll be able to store kava in the future hehe

    Preparing Kava in Advance?

I'm confused on how you managed this. Every kava I've ever kept longer than a maximum three days gets this incredible weird taste. I would never keep my kava for longer than a week due to this experience. Frozen is another thing though, kava does seem to do well frozen. I've had month old...

    Preparing Kava in Advance?

Those bottles are great, I have a few of them too. Never would have thought of putting kava in them though, thanks for the tip.

    Preparing Kava in Advance?

In my experience anything after 2 days is pretty gross... Kava gets this very unique smell after a while of sitting out, if you've ever left out a used strainer bag overnight you'll most definitely know what I'm talking about. If not, then try it. So weird, it gets this totally fragrant...

Kava and Antibiotics (Tis the Flue Season)

I would take that risk for you guys <3 not really though It didn't unfortunately, and all the nyquill preps I could find use diphenhydramine as their antihistamine which is the same stuff as benadryl. I actually think my teenage self ruined diph for me for reasons this isn't the place to...
