    Green Chile Kava

Also known as New Mexico kava. I used some Wow kava and added green chiles. I should have blended them. As it was, it was the first kava I’ve had to chew. For those of you that like to mask kava’s flavor, this definitely works! All I tasted was the chiles. I’m reminded why I love kava “straight.”

    Happy New Year

We’re finding shells and drinking shells on the last day of the year at Sanibel Island. Maybe our last winter here. The island is still recovering from the vast destruction of Ian.

    Triple Play

Sherri and I are drinking our pre-Thanksgiving kava at Periwinkle Park on Sanibel Island. We used up our Gourmet Hawaiian NeNe two days ago. So we are drinking two medium grinds, Koro Island Batch 3 and Wow Kava. And we’ve already had one shell of FijiVanua’s Instant Gold.

October Kava @ 2 Miles High

Before we head south for the winter, Sherri and I hiked 3-1/2 miles (from 9,900’ to 10,700’) in the Rockies above Santa Fe. The awa was good after a few hours of strolling.

    Kava @ 10,000’

So today we wandered higher up the slope to 9,900’ elevation. It was easier to drink the FijiVanua Kava Instant Gold.

    Kava @ 7,000’

Enjoying our kava today in Santa Fe. Had one shell late this morning after an 8 mile bike ride on their great trails here. Kava feels very heady after riding in the foothills of the Rockies. John Denver could have written a song about it. We also love our new shirts!

    ChatGPT Revisited: Poetry to Kava!

Not only was ChatGPT much more circumspect today in its evaluation of kava than a month ago, but when I asked, it quickly wrote this poem: Under the starry South Pacific sky, Where island breezes softly sigh, Lies a treasure from nature's hand, A drink that brings a blissful land. Kava, a gift...

After hurricane Ian we’re still living at an RV park in LaBelle. I did lose my Forums shirt in the storm, but my wife still has hers as we imbibe kelai today. Bula!

The New and Improved Magic Bucket looks tempting

I’ve yet to try this, but the new features make it look interesting…especially with a little early arthritis occasionally being felt in my thumbs. https://fb.watch/j4oBKwe2XG/?mibextid=unz460

    ChatGPT Tells Me About Kava

Just had this discussion with ChatGBT (below) about kava. It was striking that they immediately confessed their information was outdated and incorrect. I have a number of disagreements with ChatGBT, but this was the first time that they immediately owned up to the mistake and reversed course...

    Surviving Ian the Hurricane

So this was our first day back on Sanibel Island since it was covered by the ocean to a depth of 8-15 feet. Lots of destruction, but there were bright spots, like finding our car’s title. And a few keepsakes. And three brands of kava proves to be truly water proof: see below. We’re drinking kava...

    Another Kind of Kava Prep

To prepare for our kava session today, we first walked a few miles along the Sanibel beach.

    Timothy Leary’s Poem

This is from Leary’s Psychedelic Prayers after the Tao Te Ching. III-3 The seed of mystery Lies in muddy water How can we fathom this muddiness? Water becomes still through stillness How can we become still? By moving with the stream

    Five Years of Kava

Just drank today’s first shell in honor of five years of my personal kava journey! So I decided to look at what I have in hand. The upper right corner is Fiji AAA waka in a 5 Star bag because they don’t use a resealable. The upper left is my only instant.
