For sure. To be able to hear someone out respectfully, without feeling like you have to agree with them entirely. They may have good reasons to disagree by their lights, as I might by mine.
I had a few shells this morning while I was doing some reading, and I felt compelled to share my understanding of what it means to 'listen to the Kava'. I have heard this spoken about often in the Kava community, and as I drink more, I see that there's truth in it.
In order to listen we must...
I hope you'll both have a good time reading it. Yesterday I updated the text, correcting some mistakes I found while adding a few more words here and there. Let me know what you think of it.
You are very welcome! I would be happy to leave a link here, hopefully it works. It's called Modest Light, it's available on Amazon. I feel like some areas of the book are better than others; it is like a patchwork or a forest complete with unsightly areas as well as (I hope) little gems and...
I can relate. Tears of joy and sadness seem to come more readily, which is an effect I cherish. There are feelings of awe, wonder, and occasionally a sorrowful compassion that feels deeply filling and human. It is bittersweet, like cherry blossom petals wilting and fading below their parent...

I've used L-theanine before, I find it has slight, barely noticeable effects. I like it best when combined with a cup of green tea from which it came. I think it's synergistic with caffeine.
Maybe it's really old. I have some old Isa Kava from KBR, I gave it a try a few days ago. Really only felt a very mild sedation, felt like most of the kavalactones had been broken down, kinda bummer. Does it taste kind of old?
I've just drank my first shells of Nambawan, have to say I'm impressed. I don't know if it's consistent given it's a blend of noble Kava, but for me I find it much more heady than Boroguru. I preferred a more body effect until I had this one. Now I can say I like both effects equally. The flavor...
