Currently waiting for a delivery. I was negotiating with myself for a long time either to order or to not to order as 11 year old Waka is classified as Tudei. In the other hand some people say that as it grows old it also grows in power in a good way. Well we will see as I expect to be delivered sometimes now :sneaky:

I don't believe 11 Year Waka is classified as Tudei. There was some concern it might be adulterated, but I believe it's been exonerated in testing. Does anyone know that status? Many drink it without tudei-like effects. Koniak, however I think is at least partially adulterated with non-true kava.

According results of this test it does appear so. It is even the same source i ordered from http://www.truekava.com/acetone-test.html
True, dat.
But I know that the currently sold micronized 11 Year is actually a different batch than was tested back in September of last year, as Judd has run out since then and restocked with what he's calling "12 year".

Judd posted the chemotype from test results, and I remember DHM being outside the first three. That doesn't prove it's not tudei adulterated, but does suggest at least low DHM effects which contribute a lot to that second day misery.

Thanks!

I'm happy you're here, as you clearly got your bearings, did your research and can talk intelligently about kava straight out of the gate!

I just got the 11 year waka and got no effects. I mixed 2 table spoons in 8 oz water and shook it up really well in a tupperwear and then drank it. I waited six hours after my last meal before drinking. I waited an hour after drinking the kava to notice any effects. I've gotten effects from kava before. Did I not wait long enough for my stomach to be empty? Should I wait 8 hours after eating? Did I put too much in the water so it was too thick and then my stomach treated it like food instead of liquid that would pass through? I suspect my stomach takes a long time to empty. If I drink it in the morning though after an overnight fast that would test that theory.

First off, welcome to the forums! Second, when was the last time you imbibed in kava? If it was a good while (a few months) you may be fighting reverse tolerance again.

@Kapmcrunk I doubt it is reverse tolerance. The reason I doubt that is that I've been trying to get kava to work for years and the one time I finally got kava to work well was after not having any for like a year.

That time I tried kava it was 10 times better than I had ever gotten from kava and it was the green instant from bulla. After that great experience I was very impressed and very happy that after trying for years to get kava to work, probably 9 years, I finally got a great experience. I would describe it as mind blowing euphoria and great for listening to music.

I'd had effects over the years, but often very week and only lasting a few minutes and often not great effects. I would just have a hard time balancing or feel kind of mind numb.

One reason the instant may have worked is that I think I drank it with a straw and just skimmed the top and didn't drink it all. That may have prevented me from drinking the thicker bottom which would then close my stomach and prevent the kava from passing through. I think that has been my problem with the instant dehydrated, it isn't fine enough, or true instant.

After having that most amazing experience I tried one more time some weeks later and I think drank the bowl instead of using the strawl. Well I get very little effects and had a few bowls and started to feel very sick. I ended up being extremely sick that evening and puking up brown mush all night. What must have happened is that the powder was getting stopped in my stomach either because I had some food in there, or the powderr was not fine enough to dissolve without a filter like a hose sock.

I know to fast before drinking kava and I know these instants feel thick to my mouth in a gross way if I don't use a filter. I'm not talking about taste, though that is bad too, but they are just thick. I fast for like 6 hours minimum. I've even tried drinking kava after an overnight fast, so I know it is the instant is too thick.

@Deleted User01 @Kapmcrunk So I just tried some more Waka 11 year, but this time I used a hose sock. I put 3 TBSP in a hose sock and used one cup coconut juice and one cup water. The water got very dark and there was tons of "instant" material still in the sock after minutes of working it. The drink was much more like dark brown water than a thick brown drink like it was without using the filter. I just drank it like 10 minutes ago and not really feeling much. It was super smooth and with all the coconut juice didn't taste that bad.

Kava = Peace
@skippykava - there is no way you could try kava for 9 years and only experience the effect one time... you must be doing something incorrectly. Especially if the kava is from Bula as they are very reputable. I can almost guarantee it's not working because of having a full stomach. Try it on a weekend morning without having any food in your stomach. Also, I like a bit of caffeine after kava as it helps metabolize quicker. Try upping the dose more than normal alongside a cup of coffee (y)

I was in kind of a bad mood this morning, no particular reason really but after downing a Tablespoon of 11 year Waka in some water within 10 minutes, outlook totally changed. Never ceases to amaze me like night and day...and it lasted pretty much all morning. This is still my go to Kava for a lot of situations.
