Fu'u is currently sold out but we have another batch on the way. If you haven't tried any of our others yet, give one a shot. My hands down favorite of all of our kava (Fu'u included) is Melo Melo. We have a brand new, super fresh shipment of it and all other Vanuatu varieties.

Stupid question... how do I know which are the Vanuatu varieties?

Also, how long is this code good for? I've been meaning to try some of your other kavas beyond Fu'u but I just exhausted my kava budget for a bit elsewhere.

That sucks, I got melo melo last week. I only got a 1/2 kg though so wouldn't have saved too much, but I still missed out. Melo melo is definately a strong smelling batch, I havn't made any yet have only smelled the bag. I've been drinking high DHMs for a while and wanted to try a different kavalactone lineup for a change.

Ed I'm pretty sure that the only variety that isn't from Vanuatu if Fu'u. I know for a fact boroguro and melo melo are because I have the bags right here and they say "product of Vanuatu", I'm pretty sure borogu is as well. I imagine the instant green kava isn't included but I don't know for sure.

Ed- Currently, our only non-Vanuatu variety is Fu'u. Code will probably be active for another week or so.

new2kava- I think you'll really love the Melo Melo. It used to be fairly mild but the last few imports we've gotten have been quite a bit more potent for sure.

Question. Are your kavas pre ground when you receive them or do you do it in house?

Hmm... are you sold out of all kava powders? I'm on the site now and the Kava Powder menu item isn't even there, just Ceremony Kits, Instants and Accessories.

Looks like there's an issue with the drop down menu. If you click on products you will see all of our kava. I'll work on getting that drop down fixed.

The new melo melo is really good. I actually like it over the fu'u. The grind is almost identical to boroguro which I like as it is really good for hand squezzing. It is a nice light kava and has a unique mellow taste and a good euphoric feeling. I made a 10 cups of kava with 1 cup of root and 50/50 coconut water/water with a tablespoon of soy lectin and it was pretty heady.

Have you drank previous batches of melo melo too? If so, how does it compare with those? I got a batch about a year and found it to be pretty mild.

This is my first time with melo melo. Judd says the newer batch is more potent than the previous and I've read some reports where others said the previous were good but mild. I felt that this was good kava. I think a low DHM strain will always be somewhat mild in comparison to a high DHM one, with the exception of the Vanuatu nlack bag. I was never too impressed with the van3 and actually prefer the melo melo to it alot.

I was surprised how happy I was with it as I had just about finished going through a 1/2 kg of stone which usually sets the bar pretty high for the next batch. But this stuff was really pleasant and much easier to chug than stone, without the gut rot and diarrea.

Batchs tend to ebb and flow in quality with the seasons and various batchs. The original tudei from kbr a year ago was friggin brutally strong and the ruggedest kava I've seen to date, while the new batch was much lighter in color and not at all impressive in effects. I heard the original van3 was insane and most of those who compared with the newer batchs said the newer batch was much more mild.

Hi Judd,
when do you expect the Borogu to be available again? Currently it is sold out.
When will the 15% offer end?

Obiwan- Hoping a batch will ship next this week or early next week. Word is some rough seas in Vanuatu have limited the ability of kava buyers going from village to village by boat to collect kava for me. Crossing my fingers. I don't have a date for the end of the 15% off but I'll likely keep it up for a few days after Borogu is back in stock so people who like that one can take advantage of the discount.
