Advice for Kava

Hi,
Could you guys please give me some kava advice? These are some of the difficulties I have had in the past.
1. Nausea and/or dizziness2. Ease of preparation (prefer instant kava)3. Digestive discomfort.4. Only works on a completely empty stomach, practically fasting.5. Trying to find kava which is very low in DHK and DHM, the nausea agents.
I started out with Kona kava farm and bought their root and c02 extract. The c02 extract was fraudulent, no effect. I then tried kava alcohol extracts, but decided that was not healthy. They had effects, but mostly bad nausea and dizzy. Then moved to Nakamal at home and tried their powder instant kava there. Instant kava was real, but still got dizzy and nausea. I bought the book "Kava: The Pacific Exilir" which contains a lot of information about the kavalactones, history and science. Yet, I' haven't found a good spot for kava that seems enjoyable and practical. Ideally I'd want to know where I can get the best instant kava that has kavain and practically no bad stuff. Maybe, ideally kavain isolate might be good, but from what I can tell that is not available for other than research purposes.
I'm not set on trying kava again and mostly gave up on it due to the bad effects, but I'm curious as to what all of you have discovered.
Thanks

Here are some suggestions:

1) Nausea/Dizziness: Good straining, moderate consumption over an extended period and the choice of kava (as you have found) are critical

2) Ease of Prep:Instant is OK, but because of the price and lack of variety I suggest you try soaking a bit and blending. You can even use a stick blender in a mason jar (makes cleanup a breeze) then strain it through a cloth. That is really just a 5 minute process from grab to drink if you skip the soaking part

3) Digestive Discomfort: Straining, practice and moderation are the key

4) Empty Stomach: You may find you get more sensitive over time and I find it works (for me) even with light meals or a slice of pizza. Mixing the kava with a milk like product (like coconut milk) may help with the fullness and the stomach too.

5) Low nausea kava: Try PK Fiji or BKH Nambawan / Fu'u, all 3 are very 'heady' kavas for me

I recommend fasting. For a few months, I was doing 19-hour fasts each day, but my schedule sort of got away from me. I'm now doing alternate-day fasting. I eat from 6:30pm to 6:30pm for one 24-hour cycle, and then I fast for the next cycle. So, I do eat a bit every day, but also go 24 hours without eating anything every day.

Not to completely derail this thread but PP could you elaborate on the fasting cycle and method? I am a bit confused on what you described but fasting is something I want to get into.

Sure. I had brunch today (Saturday) at 7:45pm. I can now eat whenever I feel hungry until 7:45pm Sunday. From 7:45pm Sunday to 7:45pm Monday, I won't eat anything. I'll start eating again after that. 24 hours on, 24 hours off.

I also rarely if ever eat anything before noon. I just don't wake up hungry so much as I wake up craving kava.

This gives me a very empty stomach, so that the kava doesn't have to compete with anything else.
