Animated avatars?

My avatar is animated but it does not appear as such. I didn't worry about that because plenty of forums disable the animation. However, having just seen the first post in this thread: http://www.kavaforums.com/forum/threads/supplier-rating-by-headhodge.6312/#post-76830 it seems that animated avatars are not disabled, yet mine is. Please confirm that I am not being paranoid.

Xenforo (v1.3 at least) does not support animated avatars. Headhodge has access to the code portion of the website, so technically he could make his posts do anything he wanted them to. So, you're good. No paranoia necessary

I would like to confirm that Avatars cannot be animated. The Supplier SmartTag is not displaying an avatar, it is displaying a link of a gif that shakas created a long time ago. It's meant to display a company logo (not a members avatar). Didn't even notice the fly until you brought it up.
