Another Concern for Keeping Kava Legal

(Partially inspired by the first two rules of Kava Lounge, but something I have been thinking about.)

So of course most of us American kava drinkers would be foolish not to be concerned about the legality of our favorite substance. And most people have been concerned on here about things like Kava sodas.

My main fear has been the strange online subculture of people who do not eat much on purpose. I'm being vague on purpose, lest a search engine bring them here. I think that alternating Kava and Coffee I could go some days happily without sustenance. And it would only take one skeleton made this way to bring down the wrath of 60 minutes on us all.

Although the FDA has been taking there time with Salvia, which I didn't see coming. So maybe I'm just paranoid. Maybe the herbal industry has several lobbyists supplying lobster and three martini lunches. What the hell do I know?

Any thoughts on this?

Well, this is a paradox.

On one hand, yes, kava can curb one's appetite.

On the other hand, kava munchies.

If we talk-up the first, we have could attract perhaps the wrong type of people.

If we talk-up the second, we could see a ban because of the cannabinoid effects.

I'm going to stick with the latter, for a couple of reasons. The first is how truly weak the cannabinoid effects of yangonin are, in terms of raw chemistry. The second is that knowing about kava munchies can help the person preparing for swim-suit seasons practice deidentification from their hunger - they can realize that they're not experiencing true hunger, but rather a kava-induced hunger.

I don't get kava munchies. When drinking kava I have to force myself to eat food.
