Avoiding that dang slugish Kava hangover....

Hi guys, 

My first post here so hello to all. 

Was introduced to Kava 3 years ago at Mystic Water Kava Bar in Hollywood FL and have drank almost daily ever since.
I drink there as well as prepare my own that I purchase from Realkava.com, their Vanuatu Kava. - (why does no one ever talk about Realkava.com on any of these sites?)
When I first started drinking it made me feel very happy, everything was great!  No hangovers....  The occasional itch, but nothing crazy.
However, that switched to a more drunk feeling which isn't necessarily unpleasant, but not that "everything's great happy feeling" I use to get.
Not to mention I almost always feel it the next day.  My throat feels tight, and I just feel like crap the next day.

I notice the drunkness / hangover more when making the kava myself I suppose but it happens regardless really.

ESPECIALLY from the Papa New Guinea Kava, odered it once and will never go that route again....
THAT kicked my a*s.  Was recording drums that night and could barely move my arms, let alone the feeling the next day, uggghhhh.

So tonight I'm ordering kava, come across Kavasuer's site and read up on a few Kava's that seem to bring out that "Happy" feeling more so than the drunken sluggish feeling.
So, I ordered from Kava By Rex....  Ordered the Tongan Pride and Vanuatu 3 Kava's per his reviews.

Now, my question....

Am I looking for more of a  Kavain Kava for the feeling I'm looking for?

Looks like I'm on track.  Not really interested in the drunk feeling, I'd still drink Alcohol i I wanted that.

I ALLLLMOST ordered that Tongan Lightning, I may as well go ahead and try it.

I'll keep the Mello Mello in mind for my next order.

Now, any idea why there's no info Realkava.com on this forum?
They're really nice people, GREAT service, and I've no complaints on their Kava.....

Sounds like you like heady kavas. If you're ever in the mood to spend twice as much, get the nambawan from bula, it's very high kavain, and it's worth every penny.

+1 on the Nambawan. Great stuff, almost speedy in my opinion. You will want to get stuff done after a few shells.

Personally I LOVE the dang sluggish kava hangover. I wake up after a night of fierce 'shelling' (smiley: roll)(LOVE that term, shelling) and feel like I could sleep all day, I feel so nice and relaxed with alot of 'Awaphoria still buzzing about me. I slowly rise, the more i move the more energy i feel, I make myself a nice huge mug of coffee and take a few tokes of GanJAH and then go do my meditation. By that time I feel refreshed relaxed and great.
