Best kava for yangonin?

Say if someone hypothetically were most interested in the TNF-alpha antigonistic effects of drinking kava, to treat their dandruff, for example, what type of kava would be best for them, assuming yangonin is the priority?

Are there any known chemotypes that start with 34? I knw there's one or two that start 43, but my guess is the 4 is way way more than the 3.

I'm sorry KK, i can't help you but am looking for the same.
A heady kava withouth yangonin just does not feel "complete". Yangonin complements kavain very very much, gives a heady kava depth and character.
I don't know why some think it is anxiogenic. It's just takes the kavain rush up a notch, makes it a more wholesome experience. Some more heady/balanced 42xxx kavas can feel sort of complete too, but will always lack the grandiose splendor that only yangonin can provide!

I don't think I've seen a kava for sale with Yangonin higher than the third position (423xxx). Mo'i & Nangol Noble probably offer the most Yangonin around.

We don't really know how it feels on it's own or what it adds to the whole kava experience. Anecdotally, I and others have noticed a possible connection with higher Yangonin levels and elevated heart rate or a rushy feeling in the chest. And like yiki said, I've also noticed that heady kavas seem somewhat empty unless the Yangonin is relatively high, it seems too add some 'magic'. It's supposedly a CB1 agonist, which would explain the slight anxiogenic effect & that added bit of 'magic'...but others have said the CB1 agonism might be a negligible amount. Someday one of us will sample pure individual kavalactones.

I wonder if yangonin is also rather unpopular among traditional kava drinkers or what is behind the lack of high yangonin cultivars.
It's good that you are saying that yangonin needs to be RELATIVELY high. It is super weird but i found that the effects are determined by the ratio of kavalactones, not necessarly its absolute contents.

Man there was this one that I got about two years ago that did have 3 at the beginning. I just don’t know what it was. It was NICE. I want to say it was a Fijian from KWK. The thing was that it was within the margin of error with a 4. But that being said it was equal with kavian and it was the most euphoric kava I have ever had.

ftr I don't believe there is a "best kava for yangonin," unfortunately. If there were, I'd be all over it like white on rice.
