Borogu Solvent Test Results

Good evening forums! I'm new around here, but not a stranger to Kava. Got my order of Borogu in a few days ago, and have been nothing but thrilled about it! Went ahead and began an acetone test last night (not that I had any doubts, I just find them fun to do), and figured I'd share my results with you all! Left image was taken with the camera's flash off, the right image with it on. Thank-you BKH!

@minerallad, welcome to the forum! Looks like you're a budding kava scientist. Those test results look ok. You might call BHK and see if they have an opening for a lab tester.

Borogu tested well in Deleted User's latest test, too. In general it's hard to tell from a photograph, and without a tudei sample to compare it to, but that does look yellow for sure.
It's the real deal.

Actually, I do have a Tudei sample here that I compared with side-by-side. Most definitely a noticeable difference! My DSLR is in the shop right now, so stuck using my iPhone for a camera at the moment. Made it a little difficult to capture the color as well as I wanted, hence why I showed a photo with a flash on and with regular lighting. The acetone coloration from the Borogu is (in person) an almost fluorescent lemon-yellow. Here is a picture of it next to a Tudei powder I had picked up from a local store that sells bulk-herbs. Tudei on left, Borogu on the right. Didn't upload this one originally because the wood from the cabinets in the background kind of distorted the coloration a tad, but I feel it's good enough to give you an idea.

Used a white one on the first two photos, haha. Like I said, using an iPhone for photos at the moment, and am used to my Nikon, so definitely am not getting the results I'm looking for in my photographs. iPhones are pretty bad at macro, and these vials are tiny. And I'm sure it didn't help that I took all these photos at like, 3 in the morning when I should have probably just been sleeping, lol. =]

Thanks for posting! BKH has a nice borogu that's one of my ol' standbys.

Been far too long since my last Borogu experience. Really good functional daytime kava; liked it better than the other heady kavas on the BKH menu Fu'u and Melo Melo. Great to know it's been confirmed safe for consumption.
