Ok so my main goal with any vendor of any product is customer service, if the product is iffy but the service is great im a loyal customer. So i ordered one pound of melo melo and one pound of fu'u from these guys last week. I live in canada and as such expected longer shipping times, the wait was perfect, about 5 business days or so. Also, the shipping at first was ridiculous, something like 46 bucks, ya i know, so in my head i was going to try there online store once and end it there. However, the next day Judd emails me and says that the shipping was overcharged and he refunded me 20 bucks roughly, which makes it worthwhile. Back to the customer service aspect, they seem like a honest and nice company with top notch customer service. The website is spot on and easy to use and the packaging is top notch, honestly best ive seen, very professional.
Now to the kava, ive tried the melo melo pretty much all day today to get a good feel of the effects, ill review the fu'u tomorrow. Taste is ok, i mixed it with warm water only, i honestly couldn't care about the taste as long as i get the effects. I have made kava with almond milk, cinnamon etc and it really improves the taste but for just tepid water and kava it wasn't bad at all, it wasn't tasty but easily drinkable. The melo melo is great for stress and anxiety, definitely one of the better anxiety relievers ive come across. It feels like it distances you from your thoughts, that you can view your thoughts without the visceral reactions of "oh my god" etc..My mind hasn't been racing per se but if it was i think i would feel like an observer calmly objectifying my thoughts instead of being in a reactionary state.No real nausea, this has been a problem with some other forms of kava, namely kule farm kava, its strong as all hell but nasty in its profile. Kavain is really the anxiolytic holy grail and melo melo has it in abundance. It feels very heady, improved concentration but still has a spacey quality that ive come to enjoy from kava. The body high or stone isn't as prominent, which is fine by me. I honestly dont want lethargy and next day fatigue induced from DHM so thats a plus for me, but if someone is expecting a strong body high or something for myalgias i would find something else. Oddly enough the peak experience seems to be about 1 hour after consumption for me anyway, improved social reward, moderate euphoria and strong anxiolysis on par with about 1 mg of lorazepam for anyone accustomed to sedatives and anxiolytics. 
this is a great daily kava, not strongly hypnotic but heavy on the anxiety reduction. Ill write more tomorrow when i find out how it treats my sleep and next day effects. Can't say enough about the service, price and product here, great product with the best prices ive seen. I'll finish the review tomorrow and then test the fu'u and report back.

Great review, NDG! I've come to really enjoy your presence here on the forums! I think my next purchase will be one of each kavas from Bula Kava House as you did. I was a little iffy at first, but the review nails it. I gotta try their melo melo

Ive only ordered kava once so i cant say how good their kava is but their shipping is amazing. i ordered a half pound of boroguru on monday after noon and it got here on wednesday afternoon. only for 6 dollars. fastest shipping ever. for the kava i have nothing to compare it to cause its the only thing ive ever tried.

things like this are understandable for a new online vendor, especially once you get into international shipping.  there was a small problem with my order as well, but judd made it right real quick.  i think BKH benefits from starting with a b&m presence, and they are clearly determined to play with the big boys in the online market.  that's a good thing for us.

alright so a buddy of mine came over and a decided to have a few more shells, i was krunk as all hell, i literally was staring blankly at stuff, giddy and my muscles felt like goop. I fell asleep in the same position i lied down in which is saying alot because i usually toss and turn for a good 10 minutes to get comfortable. slept soundly through the night and woke up on time which is a big plus as some other kavas induced hypersomnia which makes them a non-starter for me. No hangover despite drinking quite a bit, probably 5-6 shells in total.



Really liking this kava, it's moderate in effects and is probably best used for anxiety states or insomnia although other kava's have been better for sleep i feel they often come with a next day price.



I'll try the fu'u tonight and see how it goes. Then im planning on trying a mixture of both to gauge the effects.



I also have tanna vanauatu kava from KTbotanicals which is a stand up company. Ill review this later as well.

The melo melo is pretty mild, but I think it's the easiest to drink I have come across.

Ok so i tried the fu'u and to be honest im not a big fan, it feels like melo melo without much relaxation. I don't find it particularly euphoric but it is the most heady kava ive ever tried. I tend to enjoy mostly a cerebral high with a mild body stone such that i'm mentally relaxed and i feel somewhat couch locked. In fairness this seems to be more of a daytime kava, somewhat simulating. The taste is grade A, hands down the best kava i've tasted, very creamy, slightly nutty almost buttery. It's mild wrt the mouth numbing effects and i had no stomach issues downing several shells.



The bad, after a few shells i felt somewhat woozy after about an hour or so, almost week as if i was hypoglycemic and needed to eat. Never, had this with any other kava and i suspect its do to the almost entirely cerebral nature of this mix.My friend also said he felt woozy, a sensation of dizziness but not quite there, it was hard to describe but i assume its do to the quick onset of this kava which may be a bit overwhelming at first and the comedown is fast leaving the user somewhat dazed due to the abrupt perceptual changes. I slept fine, i haven't found a kava that hasn't aided in sleep so that was all good.



I'm not a fan of this kava, i can see how many people would like it but im looking for more of an anxiolytic and sedative to kick back and relax with after a long day. I would take this review with a grain of salt because i knew when i purchased this kava the effects i was probably going to get but i wanted to try it and see how it treated me.



Ill review KTbotanicals tanna vanauatu kava next.

NDG, It's funny how different people like different kavas and the effects of various kavalactones. Fu'u is one of the more popular kavas in our kava bar likely because of the quick, very noticeable, cerebral onset. This effect is probably due to the high level of kavain present in the Fu'u strain. I'm sorry it wasn't one of your favorites, but hey, that's why there are so many different drinking strains of kava. From the sound of things, you may be a big fan of Boroguru. It's one of the more potent kavas we have and I've yet to see it sold by any other vendor. It's fairly high in DHM, but not so high as to cause nausea or to carry into the next day. I would best describe the mental effect as soothing and peaceful.

Thanks for the suggestion, i plan on trying all of the products you offer. So far melo melo is probably my favorite kava bar none as it is just what im looking for, however, in the name of science im going to try them all lol.
