Can I use instant Kava Bir Kar in a hot tea?

Can you use instant Kava Bir Kar in a tea? Or should it cool down beforehand? What temperature would it be okay to add it to a tea and drink it?

Also would it be helpful in getting to sleep?

I have a friend who drank his kava warm/hot from the prep, he never cooled it down lol, gross to me. You can technically go for any temp but avoid boiling or getting too close to it.
