Not only is Peter Buck of REM a regular at the kava bar in Portland, but recently a very well known rapper filmed a music video for his new album at Bula. Anyone who knows underground hip hop knows the name Aesop Rock. The man himself recently moved to Portland and he decided to shoot his video for the song "Lotta Years" within our four walls. Being a big time hip hop fan myself, needless to say, I was quite excited. Check out the video below. Aesop strolls into BKH at about the 1:15 mark. He calls us the "local juice place", so unfortunately kava didn't get the shout out it deserves. I guess he figured he didn't have enough bars in the verse to explain to his audience what kava is. It's still super cool though. Enjoy!
