Alkavis was an alcohol and kava extract "tonic".

It's highly reputed because I would bet money the same person wrote every bit of that pamphlet, lol. There wasn't a google to fact-check these guys back then, and they took full advantage of this to sell as much alkavis as they could!

Hmm. Were people drying off the alcohol? I'm sure it is effective in 1g root per 1ml 60% ethanol at 30ml, from experience, it is consumed over twelve hrs and leaves one wanting, but not really.
