Today was a wonderful day…not! I went to the Dentist today
for that annual check up and teeth picking. Apparently my “stress” is
contributing to gum irritation on one side of my jaw due to a cap that’s been
compressed into my gum line. (I guess from teeth clenching?) So much so that
the dentist felt it necessary to issue me some special mouth wash to heal it.
What does this have to do with kava? I’m glad you asked! (smiley: grin) I think I’ve said in many posts on the Kava Lounge that I generally have kava
once a week. Yes, I do… but sometimes I go longer without. I do try and see how
long I can stretch it out just for kicks. (and sometimes to test if it’s really
working) Well, maybe it’s time to be a little more generous with myself.
Perhaps it’s time to just let the sessions happen when they happen instead of
Sunday mornings during my KQED World programs.Unfortunately, this also means no new EDC gear (thanks for your help endwatcher) but it is what it is.
So this brings me to my next kava purchase since I’ll
be going through it a little faster now. This time I’m looking for a middle of
the road kava. Something that’s not too medicinal and sedating like Isa/tudei
but also something that’s not so much of an upper. I’m looking for something
that just makes you feel good…well…”comfortable and cozy”. I’m looking at a
pound of Waialeaale Kavas Source’s
Fijian Kava from Vanua Levu. I’ve never tried anything from WKS or any
Fijian Kava for that matter. I’m open to other variety suggestions and your opinions on
Fijian Kava’s in general in terms of it’s ability to make one feel…”comfortable
and cozy”.
