Current Mid to Low End Favorites?

Title pretty much. With the week I have had and what is sure to be a very long day tomorrow I'm blowing through my reserve stash. Going to be placing an order soon and was curious as to what everyone's current mid to low end favorites are. I mostly have my sessions in the evening or, rarely, mid afternoon so I'm probably not looking for something you might consider a "daytime only" variety. I know Nene is a favorite. What else are you guys currently enjoying?

Honestly, everything is good, I recommend you browse the reviews and find something that suits your needs. Personally I drink kava most of the day with only a few exceptions, lately I have tried some heavier kavas and among those the best thus far were Kavafied Vanuatu Supreme & BKH Premium Blend.

Yeah, I've read a lot of the reviews and stuff posted for GHK. I always check reviews first before ordering anything. I was just wondering what everyone's current favorites were in that spectrum similar to the "most euphoric" thread that was posted in this subsection recently since it seemed to get a lot of helpful responses.

I like reading reviews but I also enjoy direct discussion and comparison and oftentimes reviews aren't really easily comparable. Someone may have reviewed 4 or 5 different varieties from a single vendor and while they may have gotten good reviews they usually aren't directly compared to one another in a single variety review so while one may have a good review it might not be their actual favorite. You know what I mean?

I've haven't tried kavafied, at least not recently, I'll might have to check them out (again?) in the future. Though I have heard they have pretty decent kava I refuse to purchase anything from BKH for personal reasons. I was mostly just curious about current GHK favorites so I figured the GHK subsection would be the best place to ask.

Thanks for the tips, KM. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

@FYS Same to you, I didn''t realize we were in the GHK folder, of these kavas Hanakapi ai is quite strong and interesting, worth trying I think. Moi used to be my favorite and is a lot of people's as well.

Happy T-day.

Whats your current favorites on the other end, Deleted User01? I'm mostly an evening time guy.
GHK kavas that lean toward the other end of the spectrum from Mo'i are Hiwa, Mahakea, Hanakapi'ai, Boroguru and one of the best: Opihikao.

Using the phrasing 'mid to low end' sounds like a reference to price or quality more so than a description of effects. I think you're actually looking for 'balanced or heavy'...in terms of the common terminology used here.

Edit: Apologies I had misread the above post.

When I say mid to low end I mean mid to low end of the kava spectrum. That is the way I have always described kava and people seem to always know what I mean. For me it doesn't have to be "heavy" to be low end. As you know there are many effects in the kava spectrum and I prefer to use general terms rather than a single defining characteristic when I'm not looking for a very specific kind of kava. I've found you can have relaxing and pain relieving effects without a lot of body load which is what I personally equate to heavy.

That's all. I just don't want something super stimulating at the moment and am looking for a more relaxing variety. It doesn't have to knock me out, in fact, I would prefer if it didn't and its not that I don't like the other end of the spectrum. Its great for working out in the garden or something like that during the day, that is just not what I'm looking for this order.

Sorry for the confusion. Its been a very long week. I worked about 18 hours yesterday, have just gotten back from one event and am about to pack up and leave for another in a few minutes so I'm a bit tired and out of it at the moment.

I would say that I have Mahakea now and I had Hanapaki Ai a few months. I think for low/heavy end, I really prefer the Hanapaki Ai'. It just deadens me when my nerves are shot but I don't feel like sleeping. In fact I can work (no rocket science though). It just seems to be the right type of heavy guy for a guy in my position. But I think everyone will tell you that Boroguru on the low end is always good, an oldtime fav of many, and sold by many too.

I misunderstood your request as well. Thought you were shopping budget kava.

For heavier GHK, I have Hiwa, Papa Kea, Hanakapi all open at the moment. I like heavy evening kavas better too.

I have similar reservations about BKH as well. Have not transacted with them for that reason.

FYS, you've gotta be one of the most pushy, combative and defensive members to ever arrive at our shores.
I didn't tell you that GHK kavas are mostly heady, as you say you are already aware of, what I said was:

Those are some of the ones I consider to be more balanced or heavy when compared to Mo'i, or to use your terminology, which conflicts with the pre-existing definition of the phrase, they are 'mid to low-end' favorites...just like you asked for.

I hope you find the root you're looking for, 'cause it definitely sounds like you could use the chill.

May the kava gods bless you.

Sorry about that. That's they way I have discussed kava for a long time and in my haste to past I guess I didn't stop to think that others may not read it the same way. Thanks for the recs.

Look, man, I apologize. Looking back I 100% misread your post. I could have sworn it said something different yesterday but looking back at it now I was clearly mistaken and I'm sorry for that. I read it quickly and responded hastily. Its been a pretty bad week for me. I worked almost 40 hours Wednesday and Thursday alone. I was tired and clearly a bit cranky. That's not really an excuse but that is genuinely what happened and I do apologize. I used that terminology because that is what I am used to using and is immediately what comes to mind when thinking about where what I want falls on the kava spectrum. Obviously it has another meaning in regards to price or quality that I didn't account for when making the post but at the time it didn't even occur to me.
