We have some friends of the Forum, @kasa_balavu and @Kava Time, in western Viti Levu. Neil of Kava Time marked himself "safe" on FB. Haven't heard from Mr. Balavu. Hope he's OK..

Thankfully, I and my household were unaffected. We had high winds for two or three hours but nothing serious.
The fatalities were due to flooding. The rain was ridiculous. We had rain every day for a week leading up to this, so the ground was already saturated. Then two days of non-stop cats and dogs rainfall meant that the flooding was inevitable.
For me it was a minor inconvenience (they shut off the power due to flooding in my area) but a terrible Easter weekend for many Fijians.

Fiji can't catch a break. Now cat 3 cyclone Keni has caused "widespread damage" on Kadavu and more flooding on the main island Viti Levu

The lights have just come back on. We weren't hit badly in Nadi, though there was some bad flooding in other towns. Kadavu got it bad though.
