demon juice: would this work?

oi loha. i have a question for ye olde kava lords: i wanna try this but im gnarly poor and my kava is limited. yet i tire of drinking wicked amounts of wretched flavored river water to achieve results. so i was thinkin maybe to create some kava moonshine, in effect. i was thinkin to make a bowl with one cup recycled root to five cups water and then once thats squeezed, heat THAT up and soak a cup o fresh root in that, and squeeze that out. i used to do this with coffee: brew a pot, then pour the freshly brewed coffee back into the machine to run thru another full filter of fresh grounds. it made charlie sheen calibur shit. would that work with kava? considering after i brew up kava my kitchen looks like a hobbit meth lab (fuckin mud and wooden bowls everywhere), i figure i may save myself some trouble an just make a terrifyingly killer batch and thus have to drink less for more kick. maybe im just an idiot, which is a very real possibility. but i dont dare waste kava tryin seeing as i only have a half lb left, and fuck knows when more will arrive.anyone tried this madness?

the main reason i ask is i know that chemicals (not sure if always) often have a cutoff point where no more molecules will absorb into the liquid. a saturation point of sorts. not sure if or what this would be for kava.

I get two pretty equal uses out of my kava with a similar process. First use I use normal temperature water, knead by hand, and get a good batch. Second use I use boiling or near boiling water and use a spoon with holes to knead until it's cool enough to be done by hand, and the batch is just as good. Both times I blend briefly too, usually.

No one else seems to want to try this because of fear that you're killing off precious kavalactones, but it works really well. I'm always surprised in that second batch by how oily and yellow it looks in comparison because of all the resin that comes out.

After that second batch though a third batch will be far weaker. I still try to use it by storing up 2-3 sessions worth, but it's always weak.

I think the trick to hot water use is to be sure to knead in some manner while it's hot. If you just throw your kava in a tea strainer and dunk it in hot water it won't do anything for extraction.

Doh, Ozzy! You totally just made me look a double-poser.

Oh well, going for three now.
