Just depends on how the grind is. If it's a fine grind I don't bother straining. If it's micronized then I'll just toss and wash right out of the bag. But if it's a courser grind or just straight root chips then I'll blend and strain to get the most out of it.
What I do for the finer grinds is just toss and wash, there's two ways of doing this.
1. Toss a tbsp or two into a cup of water, stir well (doesn't hurt to let it sit for a few minutes to let it soak) and then just chug.
2. Put a tbsp or two of root powder into your mouth, and then drink water to wash it down.
I like version #2 the best for micronized grinds.
