Eating after kava

Ive been noticing the past week everytime I eat after a kava sesh it almost quadruples the effects, whether its hot or cold food. Has anyone else experienced this with consistency?
I did have about 11 shells of stone/wow, and when i started getting really tired I downed shells every 15 minutes.

The second thread with a similar observation... I'm wondering if we should all do some kinda informal testing, personally I think it has to do with the temperature.

Yeah I find eating weakens it. Then again I've never had 11 shells of anything. Maybe half that much, or a little less. Maybe it was just some additional kavain kicking in that you attributed to the food because the food preceded the effects?

Come to think of it, I've never had 11 shells of anything either. lol. Or maybe I have? I don't know. If I brew strong (which I just started doing again), I usually go for only 4 shells these days.

Well if you do decice to drink 11 shells of wow, I wouldent recommend it. Not so good outcome. But I think if you take like 3 shells closer together than usual than eat, the fat obsorbs them and boosts the effects. If you wait like 30 minutes after your last shell or dont have enough in your stomach it wont work. I dont know im not a scientist haha. I made a batch tonight with a measly 3 tbp wow in 3 cups of water and its great, but i doubt that eating will help this effects of this.

I guess its just one of those mysteries. It dosent always happen however, but sometimes it does.
Did another "experiment" tonight, Ate after 30 minutes of last shell, same results.
Maybe kavas with higher DHK/DHM have this effect if you consume enough? It was a mix of stone and wow.

Just a follow up, with paradise kavas awa, this dosent happen, i still feel it but not nearly as much. Kavas like stone, chief and wow, this happens every single time. Even when I mix paradise kavas awa with stone or chief, it still happens. So im guessing kavain dosent work well with this, but more heavier kavalactones do.

I think it has to due with the state of your digestion. Sometimes it seems like I have a belly full of kava water, and the only way to start digesting the water is to introduce some food. I think the best time to drink kava would be after a trek through the desert, when you are hungry and dehydrated.

Sometimes taking a b-complex vitamin activates the kava. This may be because of how b-vitamins aid in digestion.

I call it "lighting the fuse".

ha, I don't remember. I'll have to try it again.

I did try making kava with a flavored whey sports protein drink, it tasted good but dulled the effects so much that it isn't worth it.

I've noticed that eating greasy and fatty foods totally increases the effects. A couple of days ago, while sitting on a patio having a burger and fries, the effects of the kava drank an hour and a half earlier returned to that of just having drank a few shells. Incredible really.

I've also noticed that kava affects my appetite greatly. I always drink on an empty stomach, but directly after I usually get a sudden and intense hunger. If I don't eat the feeling dissipates eventually. Does anyone else have this 'munchie' effect?

Oh yeah Synaptik, I'm familiar with those kava munchies. I only get it when I drink kava on an empty stomach, about a half hour after drinking a few shells I get the urge to eat something salty and heavy. Only problem is when I'm too krunked to actually get up and make something

Well I'm under the spell of Boroguru right now, just had dinner. Same kind of feeling as when I at first drank the kava. No stronger or weaker than it originally was. I just feel really good.
