gaia capsules

Hi I'm interested in the level of quality and or purity of the GAIA Kava kava root capsules. Got a bottle yesterday just to sample, to see if they are worth buying in bulk.

Here are the supplement facts listed on the bottle:

Calories 21
Alcohol free concentrated extract of: Kava Kava root (Piper methysticum) + ... 409 mg
Total Kavalactones (from Kava Kava) ... 225 mg

Other ingredients: Soy lecithin, vegetable glycerin, vegetable cellulose (capsule)

I'm primarily looking to take some sort of natural non addictive substance to assist me with general anxiety, nervousness, and to cessate alcohol use.  I took 2 of these gaia capsules yesterday and it seemed to work alright, I even drove a little better than usual.  How do the gaia capsules rank up with other kava products in quality?

I'm a total newbie, so take this with a grain of salt. - I had my first "real" kava experience tonight with a prepared drink. But I have taken the Gaia capsules a number of times. The Gaia capsules help me get to my normal baseline if I'm feeling really depressed or anxious - but don't make me feel especially relaxed or anything. In contrast, the prepared drink is more of a light relaxation buzz. Reading this forum will give you alot of good information on the prepared drink.

I am a newbie too. I started out with the GAIA Kava root capsules (2-3) and Yogi Kava tea (2 tea bags) combo. Although the effects can be felt, it is very mild compared to fresh kava. My first real kava experience was with N@H Fire Island instant. Really nice. I also tried N@H Stone kava. Even better. I will never use the capsules or teas anymore. Compared to real Kava, they are a waste of money. There are many good kava sellers, but I have only purchased from N@H, so I can't comment on the others. Whatever you do, don't purchase from Kona Kava. They have a really bad reputation.
