Gaia Herbs capsules - not trustworthy?

A little bit ago, I got my hands on a bottle of Kava capsules from Gaia Herbs. This was after my first time trying Kava, which was in its liquid form from a bar I stumbled across.
They felt fine at first, although not really up to par with what I drank, but the last two or three times I've taken them it's just sort of made me feel kind of shitty and irritable. I got a big bag of ground Kava root in the mail today from kalm with kava, hopefully I don't get that effect from preparing it in a liquid. But Gaia says they only use the root of noble strains - yet I've only ever heard of the side effects I've gotten as of late occuring because of aerial plant parts or non-noble strains. Anybody else had this experience before? I'm confused.

Update; popped one an hour ago and I'm not feeling irratable. Just as warm and fuzzy as you could expect from 75mg of kavalactones. Maybe it's a quality control issue.

Gaia capsules went back and forth on the quality of their root and as of late it is my understanding that they use noble kava and follow strict FDA regulations.
There is no comparison to drinking root from KWK (or any reputable vendor on this website) to taking capsules. This isn't to say that Gaia caps don't work, they do but usually require a sizeable dose (8-12 capsules, depending on the individual).
Generally, capsules are a good way to break through reverse tolerance. If convenience is an issue, there are much better alternatives such as Kava candy by Ozia, instants from many vendors and KWK has a liquid concentrate.
