Gas-x safe with kava?

is it safe to combine gas telief meds with kava? Kava gives me gas that gets trapped in my chest and leads to cramps or sharp pains. Is it safe on the liver etc to combine these?

I've tried to find this out before...but there seems to be almost no interaction warnings at all for it...including alcohol and benzodiazepines. I think it's likely safe and I've taken it several times with no bad reaction, so have some others...I'd still be cautious about using it too frequently.

The only interactions I can find for simethicone (Gas-X) are with thyroid medications. It can interfere with the absorption of thyroid medications in the stomach. I have personally used Gas-X after a kava session with no ill effects.

You could try looking at FODMAPS in your diet if you're having bad gas, especially if it's causing pain

I knew this would turn into a fart thread. So .... Is Kava safe with GAS-X, I guess the real question are we safe around you? Sorry, couldn't help it. Wouldn't it be cool if Kava also "disarmed" said gas.

I've used Beano and it seems to help cut down the kava farts pretty well. Y ou will need to take more than the dosage listed on the bottle. Beano directions says 1 tablet, but you really need 3 with kava.

Ok all jokes aside, I don't know if it is safe. I have dealt with similar problems & always use some form of gas relief med or another, I never felt there were any side effects.
