How do effects compare to one another? I tried to Hanikapi ai (lateral) and liked it a lot. In your experience, how does Hiwa compare to it?
Thanks you all!
Thanks you all!
I am very happy to hear that you like my Hanakapi Ai. It is one of my strongest kava's and I also like it a lot. Aloha.Hanakapi'ai is phenomenal. Definitely an evening/weekend Kava. Very clean high frequency buzz but very relaxing and disinhibiting. I would caution folks that it has a strong aphrodisiac effect. Strong, noble, and certainly gourmet.
I would love to see a @Kavasseur video review of this kava!Hanakapi'ai is phenomenal. Definitely an evening/weekend Kava. Very clean high frequency buzz but very relaxing and disinhibiting. I would caution folks that it has a strong aphrodisiac effect. Strong, noble, and certainly gourmet.
Getting to the discussion a little late, but I have them both and I agree with @Byron the Hanakapi ai is much stronger then the Hiwa, I drank the hanakapi for the first time during work and oh boy that was a mistake, it is the only kava I have drank so far that I felt the next day. I also find the Hanakapi ai has many levels of euphoria, it started out as a heady kava and later (3-4 hours in) I wanted nothing more to do then to put my head down and drift off to kavaland. The 10 year old lateral root Hanikapi'ai compared to the current Hiwa:
Hanikapi'ai has a stronger, more peppery aroma and flavor. Hiwa is generally milder, and lighter. Hiwa is headier and more complex in terms of effects. Hanikapi'ai will take away anxiety in a more direct manner, and may linger a bit the next morning, perhaps due to its potency. Somehow the Hiwa made me sleepier, and did not linger the next morning.
To me the Papa Kea, Hiwa and Hanakapi Ai are sedating. Are there any from GHK that will be more sedating than Nene?
