Got some Fu'u from the new batch today

It came in the mail today!  I'm now drinking my second batch of the evening and enjoying the onset of relaxation.  An interesting thing that I noticed today was the difference in texture between the first and second batches.  With the first batch, I used soy lecithin and hot water.  When I was squeezing the kava, it had that slick oil/mud feeling.  With the second batch, I didn't use soy lecithin and I used cool water.  This time, it didn't feel like that.  Weird, huh?

Warm water will help release the kavalactones. The oils in soy lecithin will also cause a slick feeling. We recommend warm, but not hot water, and soy lecithin is a matter of preference but I add it. It can help intensify the effects and I like that it adds a bit of a creamy flavor.
