Here I go with my questions

There is so much information available here! I have spent days on end going through reading and making notes on the ways I want to try kava, the types I want to order, and much much more!

I have four orders placed with different vendors which should start trickling in tomorrow. My biggest excitement is making the micronized kava syrup. The recipe calls for a strainer and I'm wondering what type is best for this syrup. I have some nut milk bags arriving tomorrow, but would stocking be better? Or something else entirely?

My second question is about the amount of micronized kava to use per cup of liquid. I've read mixed things - from a 1-2 teaspoons up to 6-8 tablespoons. I've tried 3 tablespoons but with RT I'm unsure if I'm using too much or too little. How much should I be using of the micronized?

Thanks much!

Kava keeps me going.
For micronised I've always gone with 3tsps per 6-8oz liquid. Seems to work for me but everyone is different. But I would say that 6-8 TABLESPOONS is waaaay too much!!

I thought so too. And I've been trying 3 tbs BUT I realized today that I was over straining (more like filtering) so I wasted a good bit of kava. Thankfully, I figured this out and am on the right track. I'm going to dilute what I have mixed and share with my hubby.

@Mrbinx69 I will update you once I make it. I'm still waiting for my GHK order to arrive. Once I get the micronized in my sampler, I'll be experimenting away! I am worry my nut milk strainers might have holes larger than I want so I'm going to have some knee highs on hand as well.

My husband's been laughing at how much of a kava freak I've become even though I'm still dealing with RT. I'm sleeping much much better though!
