Hiwa couch lock?

For anyone who has had Hiwa, do you think it is heavy enough to experience couch lock? I've never really had a "heavy" Kava, and have been wanting to feel what a truly heavy Kava has to offer but, I would like to have some heady effects also. If it isn't heady enough I'll probably just add a heady Kava to my batch.

For a Hawaiian kava, Hiwa can be fairly couch-locky, with a bit of headiness.
More powerfully heavy kavas are typically from Vanuatu or Fiji.

I also really want to try mo'i so I think I'll get a half pound of mo'i and another half pound of Hiwa.

For what it's worth, Mo'i is NOT for couch-lock, in my own personal experience. It's a great kava experience all the same, but I've never been couch-locked with Mo'i. I get more energy from that cultivar. I haven't delved into the world of heavy kavas yet, but I did have some GHK Mahakea when I first quit pot, and it helped a lot with the minimal physical symptoms. I.e. couch-lock... I.e. it helped with what my body was looking for at the time, if that makes sense...

Ya, I think I understand. The mo'i wouldn't be for couch lock. Ive read a few reviews on how potent mo'i is so I thought I'd try it out. Thank you guys for the help. I really do appreciate it.

I find Hiwa to be very balanced: heaviness perfectly blended with delightful head-swimming.
It has a depth that I find purely heady kava lacking.

The papa kea will give you couch lock with headiness...with 22% lactone content it has it all...the ghk boroguru has good couch lock without much headiness
