homemade shells ?

Anybody make there own shells ? Methods ?

I have one that was made in my mother's pottery class she took with my sister. It's just a shallow pinch-pot bowl type thing.

Honestly the best route is to buy some used coconut bras from your local university and relish the lucky lives theses coconuts have had.

Othersise you need this:

1. old coconut
2. hacksaw (metal grade teeth, real fine)
3. steel wool
4. flat head screwdriver
5. hammer and nail (optional)
6. olive oil

take said coconut, and find the "three dots" on the pointy-est end of the nut. one of the dots will be the softest. Hammer a nail through that and drain the water for future kava brew,

saw nut in half. Take care in choosing your diameter. Take a moment to ponder how they made coconut bras. There are many different shell shapes you can create. A to C cups. just don't use the end that has the holes.

now you have two halves with meat attached. and furry outsides.

Pry off the meat with the flathead. whole inside should come out in one piece. Try wedging something under the meat and prying it out.

Take steel wool and polish off exterior fur and interior schmuck. Polish until both sides look like coconut bras.

Polish again with olive oil.
