Just received my order of Kava Bati yesterday and wanted to try it early in the day, before lunch.
Here's my routine: Measured out 20 grams of root powder and poured into a blender, followed by 1.5 cups of warm water, and .5 cups of almond milk. Blended for a couple minutes (not on super high, because this VitaMix can make stuff really hot), then poured that into the strainer bag. Kneaded for about 15 minutes. Placed 2 cubes of ice in a shell and poured the first "dose" from the big container into the shell w/ ice. Drank it down fast and sucked on a pineapple slice. Almost immediately drank the next two shells. (There's usually a "forth" shell, which is really small... I don't always split it up into exactly three.)
While not overly profound, that gave me a very nice, uplifted feeling close to what I was hoping for. (As posted in another thread, the only time I've been hit in an almost-overwhelming manner by Kava was with 40 grams of BKH MeloMelo, strained and kneaded just as above.)
After work I followed the same steps as above, but with 30 grams of Kava Supreme. Found it to be very relaxing. Had a light dinner and ended up playing Super Nintendo and watching movies with my wife until 10pm. Was feeling a little "wired" by that point in the night, so I ended up making a night-cap of 10 grams Kava Supreme + 15 Grams BKH Nambawan. Did the trick in helping me wind down for bed, although I had a little stomach discomfort. (Like I just had too much Kava water in my belly.)
So, yesterday was the most Kava I've had in a day so far, and I wanted to see if this is just too much, even for a hardhead like me. I'm really getting into enjoying it, and hoping my tolerance will lower, but I don't want to wreck my body trying to get there.
What do you think?
