Kava Enthusiast
This is my fourth or fifth post, so please go easy.
I am one of those people who sips his kava rather than gulps it. So taste is super important to me. When I can, I like to wash Gourmet Hawaaian Kavas with coconut water.
The first time I tried GHK Mahakea this way, I honestly felt like I was drinking the kava of kings! A truly delicious kava with balanced effects. It gave me calmness and mental clarity. Equanimity.
Then I tried Nene. Prepared with coconut water, it's like drinking a cafe au lait. Super creamy and delicious. Such a calm, loving kava. Like drinking milk from a mother's breast. Enveloped.
I've tried the Hanakapi'ai as well. Although it is potent and effective as a sedative, it has a more pronounced root-like flavor than the Nene and Mahakea.
Tonight I tried Hiwa, side by side against the Mahakea. With the Hiwa, there is a flavor like menthol, and it warms the chest. It's potent. It's more delicious than the majority of kavas I've tried. Yet I think I'll stick with Mahakea and Nene. The Hiwa is just a little too peppery for me.
I feel very lucky and thank Chris for giving us kava snobs so many delicious kavas to try out.
