I tried Kava for the second time last night. I tried kava a few years ago with a Fijian co-worker & our spouses. He had the tanoa, shells & all but I couldn't 'plug-in' given my commute home & two small kids in tow. I have always remembered Kava was good for relaxation. So recently, I did my research, ordered 16 oz, a strainer and made a date all by my lonesome for 11pm. Last night was boss. I was already relaxed & prepared just a heaping tablespoon worth of powder in ~10 oz of warm water. I repeatedly soaked, strained & squeezed the powder for 20-25 minutes. I did warm it a bit afterwards as I love warmer drinks. Overall, the experience was grand! I did not want a picture full I just wanted to try a small bit. As a newbie, I can see the advantages of Kava. My little 10oz potion was enjoyable. I did drink it straight. My throat and tongue were tingly and numb, I was a little concerned but gladly I felt more relaxed and less numb. I soaked in the tub, just singing & smiling to myself. My mind felt clearer, very mellowed out but clearer. I actually felt more confident. I enjoyed it so much and slept amazingly! I awoke happy as hell! I am in the process of writing an intensely rigorous doctoral dissertation and will try using Kava as an aid to help me with anxiety associated with my writing. I never thought I was anxious or wound up, but the way I relaxed last night, led me to believe that a cooler me can be a more productive me. No, I do not intend to drive or do anything requiring a quick response time. But if I am going to sit for hours, I am certainly going to test my interaction with writing & kava. It's a new day and I still feel enthused. Hope to interact with you guys further! Great forum by the way!
