INGREDIENTS
16oz of unsweetened fresh brewed Ice Tea
1 level tablespoon of your favorite Instant Kava
2 teaspoons of Splenda Artificial Sweetener
Ice Cubes
PREPARATION
* Use two glasses to make this.
* Place 1/3 of the tea into one glass
* Fill the other glass with ice cubes and the rest of the tea.
* Combine the Instant Kava and Sweetener with the glass of tea "without" the ice cubes, and stir really well.
* When Instant Kava is thoroughly mixed in with the tea, pour the other glass of tea with the ice cubes into same glass.
* Mix thoroughly again and drink like you would a regular glass of ice tea.
* Keep mixing as you drink, because the Instant Kava quickly settles to the bottom of the glass.
* Bula!!!
You can substitute the Splenda with real sweetener if you desire. Use as much Instant Kava as needed. Also, use more or less ice tea needed to fill the size of glass you are using. At home I sometimes use water mixed with Mio (used to flavor and sweeten the water). My favorite Mio flavors are Fruit Punch, Watermelon, and Pomegranate.
COMMENTS
The reason I use two cups with tea in it, is that the colder the tea, the harder it is to get the Instant Kava to mix with it. If it's too cold, the Instant Kava will clump and float on top of the tea. So I use one glass that has only some warm tea in it while the other glass has the majority of the tea getting chilled with the ice cubes. Once the Instant Kava is mixed in with the warm tea, then it's ok to mix the cold tea with it.
I use this recipe practically every day at lunch. We often go out to a bar or restaurant and I take my Instant Kava pre-portioned in a small single serving jelly or jam glass jar (like you find at restaurants served as a condiment with breakfast). I order the ice tea at the restaurant that we are at (practically every place we go to serves ice tea). I have never had a problem doing this. Once in a great while the waiter will ask me what I'm doing, and I tell them I'm taking my daily protein powder supplement. They always say "Oh Cool!!".
