Just curious about using kava in food

I think the general consensus last time I asked about this was that it was a waste of kava, but I've been thinking... what if I make a batch of traditional prep, and then when a recipe calls for water or milk, I could use the kava liquid instead? Like when making mashed potatoes, use kava liquid in place of water/milk. I wonder what would happen?

Anything that your not cooking excessively will work for sure. Such as Mashed potatoes. Seriously mashed potatoes make the best edible for other good stuff ;) ;)... really good. And potent. I would just use the stuff in place of the oil obviously. But for kava like you said just use it in place of water and your golden !. Other than the fact that kava and food seem to contradict to some degree it should work just fine. So long as you eat the mash on an empty stomach

I tried making my own kava chocolate a while ago and it didn't work, but I didn't do anything to extract the kavalactones, just mixed it into a tiny bit of oil and let it sit, then mixed in melted chocolate, poured it into ice cube trays and froze it. There were maybe some effects but not anywhere near what I would have gotten from traditional prep.

I'm going to order some of the cheaper kava from my local vendor and try it with that before I try it with top shelf stuff. I'll boil the potatoes in regular water but when I'm mashing them instead of using milk I'll use traditional prep kava. They might taste awful, I don't know, but I'm adventurous. I want to try it.
