I understand not to do this often and as little as possible but is it okay every once in awhile as long as they are hours apart, to take kava and acetaminophen in the same day?

Acetaminophen is kinda rough on the body even without kava. Maybe try aspirin or ibuprofen?
I know but its the only thing that takes away headaches for me, a few times in my life i had the chance to take oxys and perks for headaches, didnt even touch what simple Excedrin can do, all it did was make me high with a headache. Yuck!

I've done this quite a few times with my prescription pain pills over the years and am still alive/have healthy liver function. I pair it with a NAC capsule, when available, to be safe and try to space them out as much as I can but a few times they have been dosed closely. If I were you, I'd buy all the Excedrin ingredients separately and dose the acetaminophen as low as possible. Like Kastom says, it's not good for you even by itself.

FWIW Tumeric might help my PCP has sugested a small amount. It makes quickly feel weird down and sleepy.
It might work better for you though.
