Kava and Ginger?

So, I was conducting some more research on traditional medicinal uses of kava by Polynesian healers, and came across some literature that stated that healers use kava in conjunction with ginger because they state that it helps with its medicinal uses. Has anyone ever heard/come across this before?

Hmm true, so maybe it was meant to heighten the positive effects by taking away from negative stomach effects if there were any?

Ginger is just good in general. I use it in cooking and in tea when I'm sick. I'm surprised I haven't thought of this earlier.

Yeah I've been using ginger for a while now, it makes the whole experience more enjoyable. Usually after 1 - 2 bowls my stomach just says "alright bruddah, that's enough" even though I usually drink about 4 bowls a session. The last 2 bowls aren't as enjoyable as the first ones. When I drink ginger tea while prepping my kava, I can drink up to six bowls (which I rarely do) before I get that slightly nauseous feeling. It actually almost encourages me to drink more, as my stomach is totally soothed while the kava soothes my body. Really they work hand in hand, I can totally see how the combination would boost the medicinal properties of kava.

O wow awesome. Thanks for looking into it! I'm definitely going to try this on my next order, probably of Stone from N@H -- Solomon is sold out :( -- Trust the natives!
