Kava and Nausea

Where I’m loving the effects of kava it definitely gives me some nausea. I would love to continue using this amazing botanical but need to find a cure to this! I’ll state I’m VERY new to this. Had a couple shells at a local bar and tonight made my very first batch using the Vula from Kalm. I did three tbs. couple washes with 1 cup warm water.

Reed's ginger beer is the best thing for it, IMO, but ginger in any form will help.

Echoing Mr. McKrunk above, Ginger. Also, the numbing of your stomach is a strange sensation that takes a while to get used to or at least it did for me. I'm not really sure at what point the daily nausea subsided, but it did. I guess the lining of my stomach finally hardened into iron. Non-noble kavas induce a much more powerful nausea, but even noble kavas can and will do this.

...both are great suggestions and here is mine-- I always drink 'awa beverage before early evening meal so that could be interpreted as- 'an empty stomach'.
Acquaintance in Vanuatu have echoed this same practice. I drink 1/2 shell strong, fresh and chase with a wheat cracker or cube of sweet potato. After 'awa drinking is regular evening meal, never nausea, never warm water, always space 15 minutes between cups.

Do you prepare with luke warm water? I bought the candies ginger chews and it cured me last night. I’m surprised because ginger never did anything for nausea for me

I'll echo Krunkie's suggestion but go with the Reed's Extra Ginger! This stuff tastes great and really helps me with nausea.

I feel like the last thing I’d want is more liquid!! The ginger chews were a huge help. Sometimes it hits a little and sometimes not at all. Usually when I have some food in my tummy or recently eaten there is no nausea
