I've gotten t a bit of an outdoor cooking obsession or fetish...

Kava is by far the best drink to have while you're sitting around a fire, tending to a piece of meat.

I have always love drinking beer while barbequing, but with kava, I'm less likely to ruin my meal after over indulging!

I know this post might come at the end of barbecue season for most, but in Florida, this is when it's actually comfortable to cook outside :)

Kava, a slab of beef with a California BBQ style marinade, and some Green Mango. And I'm done!

Sorry... I'm hungry today!

I love kava before food and food after kava. This time of year for me, I enjoy kava outdoors,hiking or by a fire, it is cold and snowy, and dark early, with packs of coyotes that are hungry. The kava must also not freeze. Kava pairs well with grilled meats of all kinds.

Pork with jalepeno or venison with butter and sauteed purple onions is my favorite.
