Kava & Art, WOW, thank you, and a brief history of me

I have been researching kava online since before I had my first shell at Nakava in Boca, 2003.
My research always ended up bringing me to threads on this website. I recognize many of the profile pictures, mostly Gummo. That used to crack me up when i was alone reading the forums unable to sleep. Thank you all so much for creating this amazing tribe. I can't believe it took join and post.
Since moving back north I have ordered from Nakamal@home several times and been pretty happy about it.
I stumbled across some unlabeled kava in the bulk section of my local co op. They couldn't tell me where or from who it was from, and I'm pretty sure it was junk. It turned me away from kava for about a year because of this. Just recently ordered some WOW from @home and am pretty happy but also looking for something a bit stronger (I will fill out a review form now.) but I think I'm looking for something less sedative and more heady. I make game art for my indie video games and like kava because it allows me to sit and focus on pixels for a long period of time. For some reason I remember kava being much stronger. I always felt like I was in slow motion but still had a ton of energy. WOW makes me groggy and the sleep is great but I need something to get me focused on my art.
I'll post more on my adventures with kava and if you are interested, some of the art I have made after a few shells.

Deleted User01

Welcome to the forum! Deleted User01 is my name and heady kavas are my game. I'm talking about the kind of Kavas that you drink at 2:30 in the afternoon to lift the weight off your weary mind, get the creative juices flowing, and allow you to kick to the finish line. By the way, my art is computer programming. So far, the Hawaiian Kavas are the only ones that meet the bill for me. @Gourmet Hawaiian Kava currently has 3 that meet the bill. Moi, Papa Ele Ele and Honokane Iki. The Mahakea is a balanced kava that has both heady and sedating effects and is not to be denied. So many Kavas and so little time. I just ordered the Honokane Iki the other day because the last time I had that Kava it was a bell ringer for me. That means my ears were ringing after my first shell. In my case, this is the first sign of a heady kava. Maybe Chris at GHK should put together a heady sampler. Hey Chris, I will be more than happy to consult with you on this matter. :ROFLMAO:

@Deleted User01 thanks for the tips. What language do you write and what are you working on? Beer is great for programming but once you get past that Balmer peak it is all downhill. This goes for art and music too. I imagine with a nice heady kava you can stay in the groove much longer without so much drain or your brain.

@Gourmet Hawaiian Kava Kumakua real clean, heady kava. Great stuff. I also really like Nakamal @ Home Solomon Islands.
